I mustache you a question....isn't it totally wonderful when we are blessed with opportunities to reconnect with friends that we haven't seen in years? That's what happened to me on Monday, when my friend, Catherine, and I had a chance to spend several hours together again! She and her family moved to Texas about 6 years ago and we have been moving around as well so our paths have not crossed again until a few days ago. Time together just HAD to include a visit to a craft shop (in this case, Hobby Lobby!) as we are crafting buddies from waaaaay back! Couldn't resist this photo op! Love you, Catherine! Miss you and Yo-Yo Yellow so much!

It was fun to use my SU bird punch to create this card. Heading into fall colors is also one of my favorite things - can fall ever arrive too early? I don't think so!
Using the stained glass technique with dry embossing, I created this card for friends of ours who recently became grandparents!
Love this flower! Great tutorial here: http://www.thebugbytes.com/2012/02/twine-flowers.html

Card Ministry

At our church, we have a Card Ministry. We make cards to sell in our gift shop in order to raise money for Missions. This is one of the cards that I made for the shop. It's my version of a card that I saw on Pinterest.

This is the wedding card I made for some sweet friends, who recently were married in Washington. I loved making all the flowers to add to the embossing.  I cut a little "v" at the end of each of the petals and decorated each one with a pearl in the center. Added a small butterfly and a sentiment and it was the card that accompanied their homemade wedding gift, which is pictured here:
Three blocks of wood, decorated with custom printing on designer paper, and then mod-podged. I added a piece of antique lace around the edge of the entire piece, which was woven through a metal piece on top which said, "Blessings". (Sorry that didn't show up in the picture.)
