Craft paper was used to create this card. The white embossed image stands out nicely.
My blog is a place to share my creations with friends and family. All that I am or ever hope to be... Is an awesome gift from God to me!

I mustache you a question....isn't it totally wonderful when we are blessed with opportunities to reconnect with friends that we haven't seen in years? That's what happened to me on Monday, when my friend, Catherine, and I had a chance to spend several hours together again! She and her family moved to Texas about 6 years ago and we have been moving around as well so our paths have not crossed again until a few days ago. Time together just HAD to include a visit to a craft shop (in this case, Hobby Lobby!) as we are crafting buddies from waaaaay back! Couldn't resist this photo op! Love you, Catherine! Miss you and Yo-Yo Yellow so much!

Card Ministry
At our church, we have a Card Ministry. We make cards to sell in our gift shop in order to raise money for Missions. This is one of the cards that I made for the shop. It's my version of a card that I saw on Pinterest.

This is the wedding card I made for some sweet friends, who recently were married in Washington. I loved making all the flowers to add to the embossing. I cut a little "v" at the end of each of the petals and decorated each one with a pearl in the center. Added a small butterfly and a sentiment and it was the card that accompanied their homemade wedding gift, which is pictured here:
Three blocks of wood, decorated with custom printing on designer paper, and then mod-podged. I added a piece of antique lace around the edge of the entire piece, which was woven through a metal piece on top which said, "Blessings". (Sorry that didn't show up in the picture.) Summer Treats!
Saw this idea on Pinterest and thought I'd give it a try! I'm having so much fun making these Summer Treats and the friends that have received them really like them! And you can't beat the calorie count!

60 Rocks - literally!
I made this for a friend of mine, who reached this milestone waaaaaaay before me! I covered the wooden frame (Michael's) with designer paper (also from Michael's). I then spelled out my sentiment with pebbles (also from you know where), glued them in place with Tacky Glue and covered the entire project with Mod Podge. I printed the poem that I wrote on the computer and then inserted it in the frame. My dear sweet friend loved it! Hope you do too! PS - there really are literally 60 rocks! Count them yourself and see!

Valentine's Gift
I am so excited to share what I have just finished for my husband's Valentine's Day gift! I used scrapbook paper and lace. I printed the saying and placed the printed copy under the glass. Then I used a glass marker to copy the saying and viola! Valentine's Day come on - I'm ready for you this year!

Handprint Creation
Since our daughter has decided to make monthly projects with our boys' handprints and/or footprints, I decided it was time to buy a frame to properly display their artwork. I printed out the poem, cut it so that it could go above and below their work, and then will change the center to denote the season. I'm looking forward to their next project and will update and post accordingly! Thanks for letting me share this with you!

Birthday Balloon Wreath
Since some very special birthdays are coming soon, I thought this would be the pefect wreath for our almost 2 year old identical twin grandsons! Our daughter has chosen to hang it inside on the door of the birthday person (s) for their entire birthday month - in anticipation of the big day! I'm so glad I could be a part of their new family tradition!

The needles have been clicking!
To take a break from packing this weekend, my knitting needles have been clicking with my latest project. My dear friend sent me this Fancy Fur yarn and this is what I created for her - a scarf and matching hat. Sure hope she likes it!

Mother Bear Project
This is the first bear I've made for the Mother Bear Project, but I hope to make lots more! Friends at the Needlecrafters Ministry were making them and they shared the pattern with me. Mother Bear Project is a non-profit group dedicated to providing comfort and hope to children, primarily those infected or affected by HIV/AIDS in emerging nations. Visit the project website: http://www.motherbearproject.org/ for more information.
